At first look, one might remark that it's unbelievable how deep the corruption runs. Well the more you learn about it, the more believable it becomes. Everywhere there is corruption. After the "war" so many people had faith in the free-est of countries in the world. But there was money flowing around; lots of it, and those in power are under the influence of "the love of money" because with money comes more power. Thank you Widefountain for your courage.
The money/corruption is one aspect of this story. Clearly the US would be better off with an election process that reduces the financial aspect of running campaigns.
Another aspect of this story is the importance of building more people-to-people relationships (at high levels) between countries.
