When Republicans seized control of both the House and Senate for the first time in over half a century, few Americans knew who had helped bankroll the victory: the Chinese Communist government. Even fewer understood that the cash funneled into the GOP’s National Policy Forum was part of an operation masterminded by the same CCP spymaster behind the Chinagate scandal.
These weren’t random episodes of corruption they were precision-engineered “shadow plays,” designed to paralyze Washington with partisan warfare while Beijing quietly advanced. As Congress tore itself apart with hearings and counter-investigations, Ye Xuanning and his network got busy with their true objective.
The campaign was born in crisis. In the early 1990s, the CCP reeled from three shocks: the bloodshed at Tiananmen Square, the collapse of its Soviet ally, and the defection of Xu Jiatun, a man many expected to be China’s next General Secretary. For a small clique of “red princelings,” the answer was clear, to hit the U.S. hard, and do it in a way no one would see coming.
At first look, one might remark that it's unbelievable how deep the corruption runs. Well the more you learn about it, the more believable it becomes. Everywhere there is corruption. After the "war" so many people had faith in the free-est of countries in the world.
